YPO Gold City of Angels finds itself in the center of one of the most dynamic and culturally stimulating cities in the world. Our members are a multigenerational collection of business leaders, arts enthusiasts, and world adventurers. We are proud to be the chapter with the highest percentage of female members in the Pacific Region! Everyone is encouraged to participate in all aspects of our chapter, whether it’s taking a leadership role on the board or a committee, championing a monthly chapter learning event, or planning a Getaway, party, or special event.
Learning and sharing is at the heart of our chapter. You can sit next to anyone in our chapter and know that you’ll have a great time conversing, laughing, and learning something new about its members, and our incredible city.
In 2003, when 18 YPOLA members and spouses were set to graduate, we knew that the magic and friendships of our YPO experience must continue. Together, volunteers came forward and with the new board in place, we planned our first year, and it was filled with great meetings and education, a Getaway trip, Dine Arounds, and a holiday party. We called ourselves “City of Angels”.
Enthusiasm spread and our chapter grew, attracting members not only from YPOLA but from other chapters as well. New friendships formed and old friendships deepened. Forums took shape and began to play a prominent role in our chapter, with a goal of every member and spouse/partner being in a forum. All of this resulted in a wonderfully unified and diverse chapter with lasting bonds.
"What we like about the City of Angels Chapter the most is the range of life perspectives and experiences across the members, from a cadre just out of YPO through members up to a few decades further along in life, and everything in between! The breadth and depth of life experiences available make Forum now a true ‘Personal Board of Directors’ with input from folks who’ve seen a lot of life at different times than either of us. It’s been fun to have a varied group of YPO chapters that have fed into City of Angels, which has allowed us to meet a lot of terrific new people.
